I am the author of eleven escapist romantic novels – number twelve is currently in progress – all of which are set in different locations around the world. So far I have taken readers to Zakynthos in Greece, Prague, Mojacar in Spain, Lake Como in Italy, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Lisbon, Barcelona, Hamburg and Guernsey in the Channel Islands (these four all in one novel), Hvar in Croatia, Corfu, The Hamptons, New York and Majorca. When I’m not writing – and reading – in my Suffolk home, you will mostly find me travelling the globe in search of inspiration.
Exploring the island of Majorca on a research trip
My upcoming novel is called THE ORANGE HOUSE, and it follows Violet and Henry, a couple who meet as teenagers on the Spanish island of Majorca, and pour all their love and passion into restoring a dream home. Twenty years later, however, and a devastating tragedy has left them on the brink of divorce. Can one final summer on the island save them, or are there just too many secrets keeping them apart?

As well as scribbling down novels, I’m also very proud to have a writer’s credit on classical crossover album Sketches On A Lazy Day, which I worked on during the summer of 2020 with composer Andrew McAllister and The Fall actress Bronagh Waugh. Find it on Spotify or Apple Music.
In 2024, my author friend Cathy Bramley and I launched Bramley & Broom: Writing Courses, Retreats & More, through which we aim to give new and aspiring writers the tools they need to turn ideas into novels.
